Since the beginning, the team has had several athletes from the Brazilian team, and its objective is to win all the competitions it competes in.
ā

WHY "EMPERORS"?
The name is a tribute to the bicentennial of the arrival of the royal family in the city of Rio de Janeiro (1808-2008). In addition, the team's training venue at that time was Quinta da Boa Vista, which for a long time was the home of the Brazilian Royal Family.
ā
In 2017, after 4 years of Flamengo Futebol Americano, the red-black team decided to return with the initial name for symbolizing the history of the team and national football, bringing back its identity and serving as an inspiration for future triumphs.

VALUES
Race!
Unity!
Passion!
At Flamengo Imperadores, we value the passion for Flamengo and for American football, playing in all matches with a lot of race, as every red-black must have, and with a lot of unity, because together we can go further!

THE RETIRED NUMBER
When you do something with passion and talent, recognition comes. And sports are no different. Rodrigo Pons, wide receiver for Flamengo Imperadores and the Brazilian national team, retired from the sport of the oval ball and was honored by Mais Querido.
The number nine used by Rodrigo in his more than 12 years as an American football player was retired by the red-black team. Vinny, as he is known, is considered one of the best Wide Receivers in the history of the sport in Brazil and decided to leave the pitch after the Football World Cup in July 2015.
MASCOT

The Emperor Vulture, our mascot, was created in March 2018. Conceived and designed by MƔrcio De Luca, he started to print our shirts in 2019. His name came about through a vote carried out between team members and the red-black fans. Forward Emperors!
