Why the name "Emperors"?
The name is a tribute to the bicentennial of the arrival of the royal family in the city of Rio de Janeiro (1808-2008). In addition, the team's training venue at that time was Quinta da Boa Vista, which for a long time was the home of the Brazilian Royal Family.

In 2017, after 4 years of Flamengo Futebol Americano, the red-black team decided to return with the initial name for symbolizing the history of the team and national football, bringing back its identity and serving as an inspiration for future triumphs.
How can I be part of Flamengo Emperors?
Annually, usually in January or February, we do our Tryout (test) and recruit athletes and people who want to be part of Emperors off the field. Stay tuned!
What is the minimum age to be part of the team?
To be part of Flamengo Imperadores it is necessary to be at least 16 years old, in view of the rules of the competitions we compete. Please note that minors under 18 years of age need parental consent.
Which championships does Flamengo Imperadores dispute?
Currently, we play in Brasil Futebol Americano - BFA, in the Southeast Conference, the Carioca American Football Championship, from FEFARJ and the Brazilian Football Cup.
